Happy Sunday!!
I don't know about you, but I despise making decisions. I get it, I'm an adult and that's just a part of life. Fine.
But throwing in family, a business, and more? The last thing I want to do is decide what to do next.
I've been working on ways to minimize this in life and this is where systems come in. Yes, we need them for business, but it also applies to our Home life.
It looks like gathering up all the tasks I do (or want to do) daily, weekly, etc., creating a visible chart, and seeing what can be delegated to my family or outside force, what can be dropped, and more.
We have so many decisions to make and it's never-ending. So why not find a way to make it a little easier?
We literally cannot do everything by ourselves. No matter how many self-help books you read, podcasts you listen to, etc. You have to build a system around it.
Start with your key systems. Break those down into sub-categories. See what tasks belong to which subcategory. Figure out timelines. Delegate what you can. And forgive yourself for not being able to do it all.
The exact same goes for business. You can't (and shouldn't) be doing everything yourself. We are done with wearing burnout as a badge of honor or a stepping stone to success.
Mapping out your processes helps reduce decision fatigue because you are able to pinpoint what things can be pushed aside, delegated, and/or automated (because I'm back to business here).
The same way you may push things to the side at home because it's too much for the current time is the same thing you should be doing in business.
I'll end it here, I have a video on systems you can watch near the bottom of this email that will go into more detail about building it out in business.
