New venture, same lessons learned

Happy Sunday!

You'd think starting a second organization would be easier the second time around, but nope! I just launched my newest second venture, and I'm already learning some lessons.

First, why did I even start something new when I'm currently in the messy middle with The Lazy Millennial?

It's simple, I kept seeing this gap that was constantly being missed. I even went as far as sharing my ideas with others to see if anyone else would take the leap.

As you can see, it didn't work lol. I've had so many signs over the years to start up my newest venture, so I think the calling was meant for me. I'll share more on that journey throughout Q4.

Whether you’re starting a nonprofit, opening a second branch, or just expanding your team, you probably know the feeling: you want to make an impact, but you’re still tripping over the details and systems that make it all work.

Here's what I keep reminding myself and I hope you'll keep this to heart as well as you continue to move through this year (and beyond).

You do NOT need to have it all figured out before you start.

The beauty of systems is that they can be built as you go. And if you remember my 5 levels of business outline, you know I'm currently at Level 1 with this venture, and systems are just ideas at this point until things have been executed. (If you have no idea on what I'm talking about, check out this little clip here, and I would also recommend my scalable success product as well!).

While this newest venture is for those in my local area, Lazy Systems Club is similar and runs completely online. This space is to give operations-minded folks a place to figure it out alongside others who are building, scaling, or reinventing their work. Learn more about it here.

And if you’re starting or growing something right now and need help tightening up your systems so it doesn’t consume you? That’s where my services come in, from documenting what you already do to creating a roadmap for where you’re headed.

So whether you’re in the messy middle or just about to leap, know this: you’re not alone, and you don’t need perfection to move forward.
