My birthday is next week (June 28th), so I've been in nesting mode as I get ready to greet 33. I've been reflecting on what it really means to have a business that gives you peace... especially being in the "messy middle" on business.
There’s so much noise online about scaling fast, hiring big, or constantly launching something new.
But what if peace looked like knowing your weekly tasks were handled, your processes made sense, and you could finally take time off without guilt?
With the Lazy Systems Club opening at the end of summer, it's been causing me to have more conversations around being "lazy" in business.
I created this membership for people like me, people who are ambitious and want room to breathe.
When I say lazy in business, what I really mean is that we:
- Focus on one key subsystem to build rather than to "eat" the whole thing.
- Use templates instead of reinventing the wheel
- Make decisions in advance so you can breathe when the time comes
And quite a few other things.
I'm big on building out my systems to match my lifestyle, and that's what I hope these tips in my newsletter do for you.
We should be building something that helps you move the needle, not to look good in front of others. System building is about moving steadily in the direction that feels right for you.
Of course, if you need any additional advice surrounding this, reply back!
In the meantime, I'd love to know what (sub) systems you're avoiding or trying to fix!
