Happy Sunday!
I know we still have many days to go this month, but with how fast time has been moving, I thought it would be great to start talking about Summer prep.
For some, it slows down. For others, it's their peak season. Whatever this period may be for you, your business still needs to be in "Go" mode.
But how do you do that and still take advantage of this time to slow down, spend time with family, etc. Let's get into it.
Something I'm currently going through and remembering is that everything doesn't need to be perfect.
I shared a bit about my hiring journey, but the main thing I want to highlight about that is that I'm working on being proactive.
And that's what I want your focus to be on during this time (or anytime really). If you know you are working towards a specific goal, you want to anticipate what needs have to be met in order to achieve it.
In this case, we're talking about Summer prep. For majority of you, you know if this will be a "slower" time or a busy time. By knowing this, you need to be proactive in how you approach your summertime processes.
There are three things that will be helpful to document during this time and that's:
1) Your Weekly Operations- what tasks are you focusing on during this time?
2) Client Communication- what are the expectations you are setting for your clients/audience?
3) Emergency Protocol- "what if this happens" polices and processes
I was going to list them out here, but I thought it would be even better to give you this checklist instead because this information can be applied to anything.
Grab the Summer Ready checklist here
Sidenote, this is one of the many resources that will be found in the Lazy Systems Club I mentioned on Friday (wink, wink).
Back to this, once you document these things and answer the questions I have in the document, answer this last question...
If you were to step away for a week, what things would start to fall apart?
