maybe it's fear

Happy Friday!

Why are you doing the actions you're taking? This has been my question this week. I know I've been doing too much for the past year, but why?

Why am I starting up all these projects, then not wanting to do them (or getting burnt out)?

Why am I going on different platforms when I know that they aren't my ideal audience?

Why am I accepting smaller projects when I know I need to focus on my core offers?

Then it really hit me. I'm afraid. And then the next question comes... why am I afraid?

A part of it is dealing with not-so-friendly people, but most of it stems from childhood, well teenhood. My father owned a trucking business, and during the crash in '08, he lost everything. I'm sure there were other things that led up to it, but of course, digging into it wasn't a thought back then.

Now I fast forward to today's time. I know exactly what I need to do, but I indirectly sabotage myself because in the back of my mind, I always think I'm on the verge of losing it all or I'm not doing enough to ensure I'm building for the future.

This indirect thought was causing me to take safer routes in business, and when I got opportunities to really catapult myself, I made excuses as to why I shouldn't. And they were missed.

I share this today because we indirectly cause harm in our buisness because of our deep internal thoughts. As we head into the weekend, I thought it would be great if you also asked yourself "why".

Sometimes, it's not as black and white as to why success isn't happening the way you want it to.

On a more positive note, my podcast episode with Angel Wilborn went live on Wednesday! Check it out here.

This Week in My World

What I've Listened to: It's been a Podcast and Coffee Lofi kind of week! Oh and my podcast episode with Angel on the G.L.O.E podcast!

A must-do for sanity: Instacart my groceries. And it keeps me on budget lol.

Something I've Learned/Picked Up: Things aren't always black and white when it comes to explanations.

What I've been reading: Can't get enough by Kennedy Ryan. I'm so sad this is the last of this particular series!
