Slow or maintaining?

Happy Sunday!

This week, I'll be talking about maintenance during a "slower" season. Before I jump in, here's a word from today's Sponsor.

Coming this summer!

What the offer is

Quick 1-3 sentence blurb with CTA. I'll be starting this up sometime this summer! Each slot will be $8.

If you've been with me for a while, then you know that I like to talk about how our businesses go through seasons.

Summertime tends to be a "slower" period in business by choice because I like to use time to spend time with my kids and get to know the people in my local community.

This helps me plant the seeds that need to be harvested in my "booked, paid, and fulfilled" season.

In other words, Summertime is my time to connect and reconnect with people since I'm all over the place in the Spring and Fall.

Even with the financial goals I have, I'm still keeping this summer somewhat light- actually, I don't know if I can really call all the work I do light, but still lol.

So here are 4 things I'm doing to keep a good flow while being out of the office more.

1) Automation for the win!

Any process that doesn't require a human touchpoint will be automated. This is why I use my booking link and utilize features within the tools I use to speed up any communication that doesn't require me to be there.

If you want ideas on communication points to automate, make sure to grab this free checklist.

2) Batching and Templating

Since I'm hiring this summer, I've been creating templates for social media and admin duties to either be scheduled in advance or for an individual to be able to match my tone when responding to inquiries.

If there's a repeated process in your business, make it a template!

3) Keep up with KPIs

This will look different based on your goals, but I'm personally going for more visibility and revenue.

So I'll be looking at things like how many inquiries have been submitted, which posts tend to get the most engagement, the number of DMs, the number of pitches sent via email, etc.

4) Hiring for Temp/Ongoing support

If you prefer to stay solo, then this tip won't be for you. However, I have huge goals I want to reach, but I've become the bottleneck in my company, trying to do it all alone.

Just like I tell my clients, I'm hiring to manage some of my sales processes because what good is talking business when there is no money coming in, or it's inconsistent?

I'll be sharing more behind-the-scenes content on this journey, so stay tuned!

Overall, everything boils down to the systems you have in business and utilizing the tools you have access to for maintenance.

Feedback/Comment of the week: So good Adriana Richardson 🔧 I’ve seen too many women running brilliant businesses… while their nervous system is stuck in survival. And no system can scale when the body still thinks it’s under threat. Love how you’re turning structure into safety! That’s the real foundation for sustainable growth.

Until the next email!
